Margalla Heavy Industries Limited (MHIL) is a premier defence engineering organisation headquartered in Taxila, Punjab, Pakistan. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence Production, Government of Pakistan, MHIL stands at the intersection of sovereign capability and engineering mastery.

Since its establishment, MHIL has been the backbone of Pakistan's armoured vehicle programme — manufacturing, rebuilding, upgrading, and conducting research and development on a wide spectrum of defence platforms. From Main Battle Tanks to Armoured Personnel Carriers, Remote Control Weapon Systems to UAVs, our product range reflects the breadth of our technological reach.

Establishment of HIT
Heavy Industries Taxila is established under the Ministry of Defence Production, laying the institutional foundation for Pakistan's sovereign armoured vehicle capability. Taxila becomes the heart of national defence engineering.

Al-Zarrar MBT Programme
